The St. James Episcopal Church hosts the Hands of Hope Food Pantry on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. Go to http://www.handsofhopenj.net for more information on how you can join the fight against hunger.
Each June the front lawn of the St. James Episcopal Church is the site of Hands of Hope Food Pantry Health Fair. In partnership with the JFK Medical Center, various local health professionals and organizations are showcased. And there is a Bar-B-Que!
The initial planting of the Kids’ Community Garden took place on June 26, 2016. Different kinds of plants, including vegetables and flowers, were planted on the rectory property. Children ages 8 and up are welcome to participate. The plot may be small but the ideas are big! All vegetables raised will be used by Hands of Hope. To volunteer or contribute, please contact Mother Kristen at the church office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 732-985-2023.
