When We Meet

Saint James Episcopal Church worships God together on Sundays at

  • 8 a.m.  –  Service is from Rite One and uses more traditional language.
  • 10 a.m. – Service uses Rite Two with more contemporary language and features music by our excellent choir.

Our service is drawn from the Book of Common Prayer.  Holy Communion is celebrated at both services every week and all baptized Christians are invited to receive the Eucharist.

A small group of faithful people gathers for a celebration of the Holy Eucharist on Wednesdays at 12 noon in the Church Office.  We pray together and celebrate Christ’s presence in our lives.  There is also occasionally a cup of coffee shared.  The Church Office is located across the street from the main church building at 2131 Woodbridge Avenue.  Parking is available in the driveway or on Myrtle Avenue.  Enter the office at the door closest to the garage at the end of the driveway.

Special services are held throughout the year, including

  • New Year’s Day,
  • Epiphany,
  • Ash Wednesday,
  • Holy Thursday,
  • Good Friday,
  • Easter,
  • Thanksgiving Eve,
  • Christmas Eve, and
  • Christmas Day.

Please see the church calendar on the home page for the most up-to-date worship schedule.
