We are a Christian community that gathers each week to worship God and to express gratitude for God’s love in Jesus. We celebrate the Holy Eucharist when we gather every Sunday. Because the altar is God’s table and it is God who issues the invitation, we invite all baptized Christians to receive Communion. We worship in the Episcopal tradition using the Book of Common Prayer – the book that unites Episcopalians in worship of God around the world.
The Reverend Kristen C. Foley is the vicar-in-charge, serving God with the faithful people of Saint James Episcopal Church. She began her journey with Saint James in September 2014. Mother Kristen is a 2006 graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary, Washington, DC, and a 2012 graduate of the General Theological Seminary, NYC, NY. A native of Central New Jersey, she is excited to do God’s work in the Edison area. She currently lives in North Plainfield with her partner of 12 years, Ann-Marie. Mother Kristen has a passion for preaching the Good News of God’s love in Jesus Christ. She strongly believes that God’s embrace is inclusive and expansive, and invites all to worship with the people of Saint James Episcopal Church.
